High neck knit - H&M Jeans - Topshop 'Jamie' Lace up shoes - Primark Sunglasses - Primark Bag - Matalan
If there's one thing I always buy far too much of (besides shoes and lipstick!) it's got to be knits! Chunky knits, cable knits, cardigans, jumpers, high necks, you name it! I think it is definitely an essential for all seasons, especially in a country with a climate such as Englands! Even at the height of summer I have one stashed in my bag for when those warm evenings turn a bit chilly! I was obsessing over this chunky knit jumper all winter and thought why the hell have I packed this away already?! I love being able to venture out in less layers in the warmer months, but lets be honest we all have a mac and umbrella on standby!
Turtle neck - New Look Maxi skirt - Leggsington 'Nicole' skirt* Sandals - H&M Aviators - H&M
I don't know about you but in the warmer months I live in jersey pieces! There's something about the material that is so comfortable and easy to put together! I posted about this gorge Leggsington maxi skirt last year, and I couldn't wait until the sun came out so I could wear it minus all the of the layers! I have been loving all of the cute jersey, Kim K inspired co ords that are dominating Instagram recently, especially with all of the draping and detailing! So I decided to give the skirt a little spring update and tie the little knot in the side to give it a different shape! There is literally nothing I love more than a versatile piece of clothing, this baby will take me winter to summer and day to night!
Technology seems to be innovating every area of our lives - so why shouldn't it to our skincare too?
Here's the thing: I have problems with my skin, as do most people. Whether it's wrinkles, acne, dryness or oil, we all have that one thing that bothers us. Let's face it, lighting and a good filter go a heck of a long way when it comes to a selfie! You may argue that on social media everyone paints these glamorous images about their lifestyles; constant flamboyant coffees, perfectly coiffed hair, tanned limbs on beaches and utter, utter foodporn. The reality is, no one wants to see the crappy, ugly parts of our live, right?
Magnitone makes those, just woken up, hilarious bed hair moments just that bit more bearable! I won't bore you with the moany tales of my skin and I (however if you are interested by all means ask away!) but long story short the doctors prescribed me pills supposedly meant to improve my skin, which only left it in the worst condition I have ever experienced. I was left with the ultimatum to go on strong medication with a lengthy list of horrific side effects, including possible depression. I don't care how flawless my skin could be, I'm not risking my ridiculously chirpy and annoying self for anything! So I decided to embark on a quest for better skin, minus the pills!
Face brushes have taken over the skincare market by storm, most of them extortionate in price and left me sceptical! The beauties at Magnitone and The Bloggers Hub teamed up to give me the Magnitone Lucid to try and I most definitely am pleasantly surprised! I was an avid fan of the Neutrogena Wave when it first came out, so was keen to see how this would fare! It came in a gorgeous box, containing all the info you need, money off your next order (for replacements brushes, etc), a protection cap and portable charger, let's have a look...
One thing I must say I adore is the magnetic bit you place on the bottom to charge it, this enables the device to be waterproof, so you can use it in the shower or tub! It feels great to hold and would happily fit into your weekend bag or suitcase for holidays to keep you glowing whilst you're away! This is one facial brush which is by no means bulky! I have always envisioned these to be super rough on the skin, which would only aggravate mine further, however this is really gentle and pulses to give a super, deep clean minus the red skin! It even has a sensitive option and bleeps when you need to move on to a different area of your face, then turning itself off when it's done - how clever!
Even after my first use my skin felt noticeably softer and that's saying something for someone with skin like mine! In the shortest amount of time my skins circulation has been well and truly boosted, meaning my scars have began to fade and my confidence soar! I could talk about this thing forever, if my skin can improve I have absolutely no doubt that anyone else's can! If you fancy getting your glow on, grab one here, where you can even take a quiz to see which colour you are! They have even given you guys 20% off when using the code primrose20 at the checkout, so now you have no excuse!
This is one beauty product that is definitely worth the hype and you know, if it's good enough for Pixie Lott... ;-)
Something exciting is happening in the world of fashion, and INTERLACED are inviting you to become a part of it!
Wearable technology is on the rise, a concept which may seem totally alien to most, but when you think about it, it's only natural for technology to progress on to what we wear! We have grown up surrounded by technology and all it has to offer, being glued to our smartphones or discovering the newest gadget to help you assist you on your fitness journey! There is no doubt that the Apple Watch is probably one of the most well known and commercialized examples of this 'fash tech' revolution which is taking place! However in the near future, it won't just be impressive watches that we're sporting, but also shoes, dresses and jackets! Heck we probably won't even need phones because our bra's will update our status for us!
I think Will.I.Am sums up what is happening very simply - 'In 10 years, everyone will have a 3D printer in their house. Your friend will say, “Let’s go, hurry up” and you’ll go, “Wait, my shoes haven’t finished printing yet.”'
Understandably, when 'fashion' and 'technology' are mentioned in the same sentence, the majority of people, myself included, will automatically think of some crazy, flashing, sci-fi design! As you can see from the stunning image of Carrie Underwood and her projection dress above, this most definitely is not always the case! I mean she looks like Cinderella for crying out loud, I for one would love to rock something like that! Yes, there is some futuristic aspect to fash tech, but that's only because it is the future, whether we can wrap our minds around that yet or not. It is totally overwhelming to think that something like this will someday replace most things we wear now, but I think it's great to learn to embrace these exciting changes within the industry, whilst perhaps keeping classic shapes/styles that we know work for us! Undoubtedly it will take years for designs like this to work their way onto the high street and into our closets, but with people such as Rihanna, Sarah Jessica Parker and Katy Perry already being huge fans, us fashionista's are naturally going to follow behind sooner or later, right?
So, this is where INTERLACED come in! These guys are bridging the gaps between brands, designers, bloggers and consumers, bringing us all together as one to witness and be part of the growth of fash tech! The 3rd of September will mark the first INTERLACED event, where there will be a technology fashion show, debates and talks all about this exciting movement of fashion! No matter what you do or no matter what your view, you can get involved with this is one way or another, simply visit their website here and click 'Get Involved' to join the revolution!
I would totally love to hear your views on this subject, particularly as fashion is all about being open minded! We may personally not wear something ourselves, but we can definitely appreciate the beauty and creativity that is the art of fashion!
All of these incredible images were taken from various sources from google, with the exception of the last image, which belongs to INTERLACED.

Putting myself through many hectic days, early mornings, late nights, last minute outfit panicking and cramming clothes in to tiny handbags, I have finally learnt the art of 'tactical dressing!'
My dream outfit is not one made of diamonds or an incredible red carpet worthy dress, but rather something that can simply transition you from meeting to meeting, event to event and day to night in, all whilst feeling comfortable and like you have your life together! These three looks all consist of the same pieces, which are mainly basic, wardrobe staples meaning you can layer up or de-layer as you wish! I can't stand feeling over/underdressed, and when I have a busy day ahead I like to be able to tweak outfit details as the day progresses, meaning I can fit in with the environment I am in (Like a little fashion chameleon!) Here I have only made teeny tiny changes such as my hair, makeup and popping a pair of sunnies on (I always have at least 3 pairs in my bag - excessive I know!) Another great idea is to put a pair of flats or heels in your bag to transform a look even more, or sling a printed scarf over the top - the combinations are endless!
This post is a very basic example of what simple changes you can do to update your look on borrowed time. This way of dressing is always super handy when you're staying away for a night or two, a little mini break or just a very long day! Also - how incredible are these Chloe-esque booties I picked up in the sales?!
Which do you guys prefer, look 1, 2 or 3? I'd love to hear if you have any essentials for tweaking outfits!
