Lace ups are huge this season. Like, they are everywhere! I have been lusting over pairs for months, mainly nude heeled versions, but I wanted to grab something that I could wear on a day to day basis. I have seen a variety of black, flat versions but I've never found 'the ones'. I find sometimes high streets like to jazz ups pieces too much with metal embellishment, buckles, studds, sparkles - you name it! When sometimes, simplicity is way more interesting! After scouring shops these Primark ones were actually my favourites! They're so simple and I love the structure, plus, for £10 what have you to lose? Obviously these won't be a 'shoe for life' because yes, they're from Primark and also the design of the shoe isn't really durable, so after a few years they will inevitably have to be binned! I don't usually tend to pop in to there, only purely because it is usually insanely busy! But recently I have been seeing so many bloggers grabbing some adorable things from there, from pineapple candles to these sunnies! (Which I am obsessed with!) I always find when you want to treat yourself but are trying to be thrifty, Primark always does the job, you just might need to surf over the generic items to find something special!
I paired my lace ups with a super, simple outfit of my favourite blue shirt and these little silk shorts, both a summer staple for me because they work day/night and you can layer them up! I think the basic outfit emphasizes the shoes!
What have you guys been pairing your lace ups with?

Warmer weather calls for lots of light, build-able layers, so you can comfortably run about your daily errands! The sun may be shining, but I am definitely not ready to make the transition into summery, bright, colours and prints, so here I stand still rocking neutrals, monochrome and greys! I love being able to prance around in a light tee and a jacket and not be freezing my little butt off! There's something about spring and being able to roll out of bed, chuck on an ensemble and step outside that is so laid back and effortless! Also how amazing are these Chanel - esque Espadrilles! I purchased these in Schuh last year around the end of summer/autumn time, so I didn't get much wear out of them. I was super excited to crack them out now that the weather is warmer! What is your one item of clothing/accessories that you get excited about wearing during summer?
Being a 'dancing, vegetarian, gym loving' kinda girl I really want to start incorporating more lifestyle aspects into my blog for you guys, especially as those of you who keep up with me on instagram are loving my endless creations with avocado and eggs!
About the Tea
I was sent a nice little package from SlenderToxTea consisting of the '14 day teatox' plan, which comes with 14 daytox tea bags and 7 nightox bags! Before I go into further detail, if you don't like talks of bodily functions or bowels, you probably should stop reading this here, because I most definitely am not going to say that drinking this tea will make magical, sparkles and unicorns fly out of your arse!
So we all kind of know by now that 'Tea toxing' has taken over social media by storm and personally I have always been intrigued, if more than anything so I can share my honest experience and opinion with you guys. You may see endless streams of girl's selfies on Instagram, smiling and holding tea bags up to their faces telling you to buy the tea, but a great number forget to actually tell you about the experience!
The SlenderToxTea's contain all natural ingredients (which you can see on their website) and claim to: Give you increased energy, increased metabolism, beat bloating and aid weight loss. Obviously by only drinking this tea you would be totally unrealistic to assume you would shed loads of pounds, which is why they suggest an eating and exercise regime which you can also see on their site. Being a veggie I usually eat very well anyway, as well as juicing frequently, so I was hoping that the 'cleansing effects' wouldn't be so harsh on me, as eating a lot of fruit and vegetables, as you can imagine is quite cleansing in itself! This tea obviously mentions it has laxative effects, because that is pretty much how it works - it 'colon cleanses'! This is my experience with the tea and may well differ a lot to someone else's, I think it is all down to each individual and the state of your digestive system, diet and tolerances.
My experience
Every morning, as close to waking as possible I would pour some warm water on my tea and let it brew for 2-3 minutes before removing, they recommend warm water and not to brew it for too long (Doing so will probably result in more 'extreme' cleansing effects.. Which personally I would prefer to avoid! ) The taste is just like green tea in my opinion, to which you could add honey or sugar if you wish. You take the night time tea a few hours before bed every other evening, which is just as well because I found that the afternoon after taking the evening tea I would have quite painful stomach spasms/cramps. I was struck down with this spring cold/flu, so this made me feel extra crappy, which resulted in me having a 2 day break from the tea before resuming, especially because if you have a long day/drive I don't recommend having the tea the night before - you will most likely be uncomfortable. I did find for me, that any sense of uncomfortable feelings was overshadowed by the lovely fresh feeling I had each day after my tea. The whole experience is a cleanse, so I assume most people know to some degree what they are doing before they get the tea. A cleanse or detox of any kind is never going to be totally comfortable and jolly, because essentially your body if getting rid of toxins and, well, crap!
My Conclusion?
Overall I was really, really glad I did a little cleanse, because not only did I feel refreshed but also it reminded me the importance of a nice cup of tea! I usually have a smoothie/juice in the morning and a big coffee, forgetting the comfort and pleasure of a herbal tea and the benefits it brings to your body and skin. I will definitely be kicking myself to drink my green tea every day again - a great habit to be had! Lots of people post 'before and after' images, but realistically this doesn't show the full extent and can be deceiving. I decided to concentrate more on how I felt. My stomach most definitely felt less bloated - a feeling I do often get from eating so many fruit and vegetables, which worked great in conjunction with my revamped exercise regime ready for summer! I didn't noticeably feel bundles of energy from the tea, but that could be due to my cold I had lingering throughout the teatox! I would totally recommend you guys to give it a go if you have been thinking about it, just make sure you have time to allow yourself to go to the toilet otherwise you could get some really nasty cramps! Even if you have a few breaks from the tea here and there because you have a busy day, that's totally fine and you will definitely still feel all the benefits! For me, this tea was great for cleansing my digestive system ready for the warmer months, like an 'internal spring clean!' It also really motivated me to say focused and eat well!
If there are any other reviews, questions or posts you would like to see regarding products or my lifestyle feel free to put forward some suggestions, because after all, this blog is not only about what I want to write about, but also what you lovely people want to read!
I hope this was helpful for those of you thinking of embarking on a 'teatox', I'd love to hear how you get on if you decide to try it!
Denim shirt - Vintage Levi's Jeans - H&M Beanie - H&M Boots - Next Sunglasses - H&M
So I have finally spent the last of my vouchers from Christmas and my birthday ( I think I did very well to make them last that long!) My last voucher left was for Next, I am always lusting after their shoes so I definitely had to use it on them! I went to Bristol for a casting recently so made a day out of it and went to Cabot Circus for a little spree! Despite having a huge array of boots I always manage to find ones that I convince myself that I need! Anyone else guilty of this?! I love their Heels, bags and lingerie, as well as their home interior range however I clocked these and knew they would get a good wearing!
At first I wasn't too sure on them, I love cut out booties (Mind you I'm struggling whether to call these shoes or boots?) but due to unpredictable English weather I have strayed away from them before at the thought of cold and wet feet! After trying these on a few times I really loved the simple and modern structure of them, as well as the fact they would look great both in spring, summer and even winter. (weather granting!) The fact the heel height is literally perfect was the thing that sealed the deal! Small enough for every day yet with a bit of height to boost my teeny tiny frame at night! I also picked up this bargain beanie for £2 at H&M, which I love because I think with these kind of beanies you can wear through till spring as not only do they look cool, but they hide bad hair days and keep your hair from flying in your face on windy days ;-)
Anyway I could yap all day long about boots and beanies, if you like the look of these beauties you can check them out here, definitely have a cheeky browse through their shoe selection - you will not be disappointed, especially when it comes to value for money!
