Outfit:     Shirt - H&M       Cape - H&M       Jeans - Topshop      Boots - Dune        Bag - Matalan       Sunglasses - H&M

Anything that you can chuck on effortlessly, looks stylish and classy as well as feeling like a warm, cosy, soft hug is pretty damn good in my books! That's why I fell in love with this cape/blanket/amazing invention when I first tried it on! I have been looking for a nice turtle neck to see me through to winter for ages, but as no where has their 'hardcore' English winter lines out yet everything is relatively lightweight at the moment, which is pretty perfect when it comes to this Indian summer we are having! This morning was really chilly in England which called for me to give this an outing for the first time! I love thick jumpers and cardigans, but personally a piece like this needs to be build able, so come rain/snow/frost I can put this under a warmer coat, but similarly when it's still too warm for coats I can layer light jackets on top and shirts under neath! Of course the fact it is also in a gorgeous camel colour, one of the best wintery/autumnal colours of all time is just a major added bonus! Crack out the snuggly knits people!

Outfit:   Crop top - H&M       Silk shorts - H&M        Denim shirt - Vintage Levi menswear      Scarf - H&M        Slides - Birkenstock

I'm not entirely sure when I first began to notice Birkenstock and slides making a come back, maybe May/June time? I was seeing Adidas and Birkenstock slides EVERYWHERE! Magazines, runways, blogs, instagram, you name it. Now I can appreciate fashion and trends no end, but obviously we each have our own personal style and know what we like and what suits that style, so as much as I appreciated this trend, I vowed never to wear them! There's just some things I look at and think..no, definitely not for me, so I was totally dead set against getting some of these! But after months of being exposed to these everywhere I looked and how awesome  bloggers have been styling them, I have eventually been won over, and though I may look back and think "my god, they looked hideous", in the present day I can't stop wearing them! Albeit I'm extremely late in buying them and they won't get much wear for the rest of the year, but damn they're comfortable! I managed to find them at a pretty reasonable price and after I tried them on I had to grab them!

I don't own/wear any flipflops, so I guess this is the closest thing to them comfort wise. As I previously said as well, I'm totally in Autumn (boots!) mode, however I recently came back from our holiday home in Cornwall - hence the lack of posts! - and wore these no end as they were perfect to slip on and off when going surfing! So screw what you're gonna think when you look back, buy the damn shoes/shorts/coat that you weren't completely sure on, as fashion is fun!

So the other day I went shopping specifically looking for a new suitcase for my acting adventures (Plus I wanted to treat myself to a really cute one!) which I did in fact find, however I did spend about an hour in the shoe section of TK Maxx lusting over boots before! I previously mentioned I am an insane lover of shoes, but more than anything, it definitely has to be boots, probably due to the fact that they are the only reliable things for unpredictable rain/ the cold! I wear them all season and every season so never feel guilty about indulging in a pair or two, despite having maybe a few VERY similar looking boots, as they always are guaranteed to get worn a lot!

Outfit:   Shirt - H&M      Jeans - Topshop       Biker Jacket - New Look      Scarf - vintage       Ballet flats - Office      Bag - Matalan

So I've noticed the majority of my posts have some various explanation of the weather and why it affects what I am wearing. I think it's because particularly in Britain and places with similar weather patterns we totally have to adapt and be prepared for a sudden downpour/thunder/hail/snow/just about any weather you can think of! This said I was loving the weather today, a slight breeze so I chucked on my biker, a scarf for coziness and just and good old reliable pair of jeans and shirt! It's great to be able to just throw an outfit together in layers so that one can peel those layers off should the sun make an appearance ( and that it did!) ... As well as always carrying a handy umbrella in your bag in case of a sprinkle! ;-)
